Our research and teaching is focused on three major topics:

  • Meta-science and behavior research methods, particularly the role of standardisation in psychological research, as well as peer review and scientific quality management
  • Usable security and privacy, particularly learning and problem solving in hackers, as well as data privacy in digital life
  • Media use and media effects, particularly effects of computer and video games
